021 Reunion of the 1st Battalion,1st Marines
May 19th-23rd
Menger Hotel
San Antonio, Texas.

Recently the 1/1 Reunion Advance Planning Team members, Bill Kendle, Roy Wiltrout, and Samuel Verdeja traveled to San Antonio, Texas, and met with business, city, and military leaders. During the site visits the Planning Team selected the Historic Menger Hotel located in the heart of downtown San Antonio for our 2021 Reunion accommodations. The Menger Hotel is located steps away from the Alamo and the Riverwalk as well as walking distance to shopping, Tower of the Americas, trolley and horse carriage transportation, riverboat rides, eating, cultural and entertainment venues.

The Planning Team is currently contacting prominent individuals suggested by city and military leaders, and the 1/1 ranks to consider as keynote and guest speakers. It is our goal to have a program of activities and speakers confirmed by October 2020. Overall, the 2021 Reunion promised to be another memorable and historical moment for all 1/1’ers as we gather again to rekindle our bonds as the United States Marine Corps Vietnam War veterans, and to honor our fallen brothers. The City of San Antonio is prepared to receive and acknowledge us for our service and for fighting to help to keep America’s tradition of keeping American safe.

Registrations for the Reunion and hotel accommodations will begin in October – 2020
Before October you will receive quarterly announcements via the website regarding registrations and other updates. After October, the announcement will be monthly. The 1/1 Board of Directors will continue to practice transparency and keep you updated and provide a comprehensive financial report during the Battalion Meeting in San Antonio.
